About CanMe
We built the network we always wanted.
CanMe was born from a simple observation: networks haven't kept up with how modern teams actually work. We built a Cloud Area Network because the cloud-native world solved access years ago — and the rest of the network deserved the same.
Our Story
From firewall fatigue to identity-first networking.
We've spent years on the receiving end of firewall tickets. We watched VLANs multiply, NACs gather dust, and identity providers solve everything except the network itself. There was always a gap — and that gap was where security incidents lived.
We started CanMe because the cloud-native world had already shown the way: hyperscalers don't manage firewalls, they manage identities, policies, and intent. Every workload on AWS, Azure, GCP authenticates with a cryptographic identity. Every connection is mutually verified. The perimeter doesn't exist — and breaches stopped looking like perimeter problems.
We thought: the enterprise network deserves this. So we built it.
What we believe
Values that shape the product.
Designed by clients.
Every CanMe feature exists because a customer asked for it. We listen — and ship within weeks, not quarters.
Sovereignty is non-negotiable.
Your data, your network, your certificates. We literally cannot see them. That's not marketing — it's architecture.
Made in Germany.
Engineered in Hof, hosted at your side. GDPR-native, BSI-aligned, and built to outlast vendor whims.
Co-creation over contracts.
Customers shape the roadmap. Feedback shapes the next release. The result: a product that fits real networks, not the one in a pitch deck.
We automate, we optimize.
We are lazy, so we automate things.
Optimism.
We are micro pessimists but macro optimists.
The team
Big network. Bigger ambitions.
We're engineers, operators, and former incident responders. Headquartered in Hof, Germany. We answer every email — usually the same day.
